Back in January we had the pleasure of meeting with London based fitness blogger and model Amy Alexander. For our five minute chat we decided to move it from the gym studio to the Good Life Eatery for a raw kale juice and this is what we found out:
What is your favourite type of workout and how do you keep active?
I love kickboxing and triathlon training (swimming, biking and running).
How often do you work out?
Depending on my schedule I try to work out 5 days a week, Monday thru Friday, and have the weekend off to let my body recuperate. I have two Labradors (Max and Sam) so I spend a lot of time walking them on the weekends.
What do you like to wear while working out?
I love a sports top and tight leggings to my ankles with my Nike trainers. Legz London is my absolute go to brand for any gym wear at the moment. Their statement prints in neon colours make me stand out from the crowd. I always get compliments when wearing their clothing. I’m always in workout clothes even when I’m out running errands or meeting friends for lunch. Legz London makes me feel so sexy and always put together.
What is your favourite Legz London piece?
At the moment I can’t decide between two pairs of leggings - the neon leopard fever print full length leggings or the lava heart print full length leggings are both my favourite. I love my outfits to all be matching so I usually pair up the leggings with Legz London matching top. Not only do they have the coolest printed gym wear but every piece is so supportive and has a super soft fabric to give an extremely flattering fit.
What are your gym bag essentials?
I always have a fresh pair of Legz London leggings to change into after a workout, headphones, socks, deodorant, face wipes and a bottle of water!
What is your workout playlist?
One word – Spotify.
What is your favourite song to get you in the workout mood?
At the moment it has to be Justin Timberlake ‘Don’t stop the feeling’. It just gets me in the mood every time!
When preparing for a photoshoot how do you up your workout?
I spend more time kickboxing as I feel it’s the best way for me to stay lean whilst building muscle and strength. I’m very careful with my diet and watch my carb intake. Drinking plenty of water also helps!
Stayed tuned for more…
